I have caught myself developing some wrong ideas about the story's chronology. I will have to correct several previous articles. In the meantime, I correct and summarize the story's middle days as follows:

Sunday, August 18
Every week, the hotel experienced a major turn-over of guests. Many old guests left on Sundays, and many new guests arrived on Saturdays. Therefore Sunday evenings were a relatively free time of the week for the employees.
Therefore, the "dirty dancing" parties in the employees' bunkhouse took place on Sunday evenings. The party would begin right after all the employees had finished watching The Lawrence Welk show, which featured a lot of dance. The "dirty dancing" party that Baby joined was on August 18.
Monday, August 19
The movie does not show any events of this day.
Tuesday, August 20
The movie does not show any events of this day.
Wednesday, August 21
The movie does not show any events of this day.
On every Thursday evening, Kellerman's Mountain House conducts bingo games, and so Johnny and Penny secretly take advantage of that opportunity to perform at the Sheldrake Hotel to earn extra money. The movie does not show those events on this particular Thursday.
Friday, August 23
During the day, Penny demonstrates wigs to guests, among them Baby and Lisa. Robbie talks with Lisa about his earning enough tips to buy an Alfa Romeo car. Lisa tells Baby she will meet Robbie secretly that night. Baby talks with Penny, asking about her being a Rockette and complimenting her dancing.
Neil takes Baby into a kitchen for a snack. There, Baby sees Penny crying. Baby fetches Johnny and Billy, who take Penny into the empty bunkhouse. Baby learns that Penny is pregnant.
Saturday, August 24
In the morning, Baby talks with Robbie in the restaurant about paying for the abortion. He refuses to do so.
Later that day, Baby talks with her father on the putting green and asks for $250. He promises to give her the money before dinner.
After dinner, Baby gives the $250 to Penny, who now will be able to get her abortion on the following Thursday. However, Penny is supposed to dance at the Sheldrake next Thursday. The time conflict is solved by a decision that Baby will dance for Penny next Thursday.
Sunday, August 25
Johnny begins teaching Baby to dance. The "Wipe-Out" sequence.
Monday, August 26
Johnny continues teaching Baby to dance. The "Hungry Eyes" sequence.
=====
On the following Tuesday, August 27, Baby complains to Johnny that there are only two days left to the Sheldrake performance, and he still hasn't taught her to do the lifts. The events beginning on August 27 are summarized in my previous article, Chronology from Tuesday, August 27 through Sunday, September 1.
=====
The Houseman family arrived on Saturday, August 10. Meeting the family, Max remarked, "Three weeks here -- it'll feel like a year." That evening in the restaurant, the family was introduced to Robbie and Neil. Everyone danced in the ballroom. Baby was cut in half in a magic trick.
The movie does not show any events from Sunday, August 11, through Saturday, August 17. During those days, however, the relationship between Lisa and Robbie developed. Baby spent her time mostly alone.
