The Rainstorm Sequence

This article follows up Baby admitted that she used Lisa's lipstick and When and why did Baby use Lisa's lipstick?

=====

The original story included the following rainstorm sequence.

The sequence began with this scene, where the Houseman family is in their cabin.

Baby leaves her family in the cabin during the rainstorm, saying she is going to play charades in the hotel's lobby.

=====

In fact, however, Baby goes to practice dancing with Johnny.

The rainstorm sequence continues in the following video from 0:52.to 2:25.

The rainstorm sequence takes place on Tuesday, August 27. The Sheldrake performance is on Thursday, August 29.

See my previous article Chronology from Tuesday, August 27, through Sunday, September 1.

=====

In the final movie, the scene where the Houseman family is in the cabin during the rainstorm is moved to Friday, August 20 -- the day after the Sheldrake performance.

=====

In the original story, the rainstorm sequence was preceded by the scene where Baby is practicing with her lipstick, from 2:33-to 2:38 in the following video.

If you watch those five seconds carefully, you will see that Baby is nervous that someone might see her with the lipstick, which she has taken from Lisa's drawer.

Baby is nervous that someone
might see her with Lisa's lipstick
=====

In the original story, the larger sequence was:
1) Baby is nervous that someone might see her with Lisa's lipstick

2) While the Houseman family is in their cabin during a rainstorm, Lisa discovers that her lipstick is broken or missing.

3) Baby leaves the cabin into the rainstorm, saying she is going to the lobby.

4) Instead, Baby goes to practice dancing with Johnny, while it rains outside.

5) As the rainstorm continues, Johnny takes Baby to his car.

6) Johnny drives Baby through the rainstorm into the country.
In this original sequence of events, the audience would have understood better that the lipstick culprit is Baby.
