Dirty Ballerina Dancing
The dancer is Elle Beth, but I cannot say for sure who gets the credit for the photography. You can go to the webpage and try to figure that out for yourself. Below are only a few of the photographs.

I’m so excited about today’s post. As a Calgary wedding photographer, I have had some amazing clients this summer who handed over the reigns and let me really get my creative juices flowing when planning their shoots.Click on a photo to enlarge it.
For Rob and Dayna, it all started with the idea of a 1960’s summer resort, like the one in Dirty Dancing. From there we thought, “why not take it one step further” and actually have Dayna and Rob put their own spin on some of the infamous scenes? See if you can pick some of them out. The idea was to hint at the past but also create beautiful pictures that represent Dayna and Rob today.
The light was soft and buttery, these two had some moooves and I just love the nostalgic feel we captured. Dayna and Rob, I had so much fun with you guys and I hope you will enjoy these photos for years to come.

Like many others last night I was wrongfully subjected to a remake of Dirty Dancing on ABC. When I first heard about this remake I knew it would never be as good as the original. However, I was not expecting it to be as bad as it was! That being said I did get a lot of laughs watching with my friends so I guess as comedy it worked.
I thought this was a perfect excuse to blog about the Dirty Dancing Toddler Edition I did just for fun last Halloween. My daughter was Baby and my best friend’s son was Johnny. I hope this helps erase the memory of the ABC remake. If not I suggest watching the original again and forgetting what happened last night!

To simply put it ... I am a girl who loves LOVE and a story teller that wants to artistically document your wedding day. I'm truly blessed to be able to meet such rad couples and have me join them on one of the biggest days of their lives. In regard to these photographs, she writes:
Also...I am not your traditional photographer so the cheesy stuff just isnt me lol. I'm an "in the moment" kind of photographer who wants your images to have true RAW emotion. I want each picture to speak for themselves and tell a story.
By far one of my favorite movie’s of all time is Dirty Dancing! This session has been brewing in my head for quite sometime with only a few people knowing about it … including the models.Click on a photograph to enlarge it.
Finally the day of the shoot was here and Raquel and Louis made it happen for me! Before the shoot they had practiced hours upon hours to get “the lift” perfect for both on land and in water. I cannot thank them enough for the dedication they put into my vision and they sure did rock it out and made my vision a reality!!!!
