The "Time of My Life" Dance in the Movie "L'arnacoeur"

The male character is named Alex Lippi (played by the French actor Romain Duris.)

The female character is named Juliette Van Der Becq (played by the French actress Vanessa Paradis).

According to the Wikipedia article about the movie, Juliette is the daughter of a wealthy French gangster who objects to her intention to marry a wealthy Englishman named Jonathan Alcott. The father hires Alex ten days before the wedding to seduce his daughter so that she will cancel the wedding.

Alex becomes Juliette's 'bodyguard' in order to gain close and constant access to her.
