Actually quite poignant, since in real life, Patrick Swayze and Jerry Orbach actually shared a very close friendship when the cameras weren't rolling, to the point that whenever Swayze felt he could use some constructive criticism to improve his performance, he would often consult about it with Orbach, as Orbach had previously been been a veteran song and dance man, having honed his skills on Broadway.
